GTA V Legacy and Enhanced: what a ped export proves

FiveM for GTA V Legacy and FiveM for GTA V Enhanced are separate targets. An export working on one edition does not prove that the same model files work on the other.

A resource install is not conversion

A FiveM resource folder describes how files are arranged and started. It does not rewrite a model or texture for another edition. Test against the edition and server build your players use, and record that pairing when reporting a result.

Current Enhanced boundary

Cfx.re publishes a separate Enhanced onboarding guide and edition-specific migration notes. Pedify’s current ped export should be treated as the export package for the workflow shown in its UI; this guide does not certify or convert it for Enhanced. Check Cfx.re’s current guidance before planning a move.

Do not conflate tools

A ped editor changes character assets. A cost estimate describes Pedify export units. A native converter changes serialized game assets. A FiveM resource installation arranges and starts files. These are different operations and need different evidence. A converter elsewhere in a workflow does not mean Pedify ran it or validated its output.

A careful test sequence

Keep separate copies for each target. Start on an isolated test server built for that edition, inspect manifest/resource logs, spawn the exact model name, then inspect model and textures from a second client. If any stage fails, leave that target unverified instead of reusing a Legacy result as proof.

Check current platform notes

Enhanced is an evolving platform. Recheck the official onboarding guide and change notes when migrating; this page does not promise compatibility or a conversion feature.
