Reduce a garment’s size and review the result

Optimize builds a preview before it changes a garment. Compare the original and optimized model, then apply only a result you have inspected.

Optimize one garment

  1. Select a garment and open Optimization in the inspector.
  2. Read the garment’s current size and choose Light, Balanced or Strong. Start with Recommended when shown.
  3. Switch between Original and Optimized in the preview. Look for lost seams, lettering and thin details, including on the 3D model.
  4. Choose Apply only after reviewing. The change is one history step; Undo reverses it and Restore original returns the garment to its starting model.

Analyze the full ped

Choose Optimize in the top bar to see garment sizes and estimated savings. If you have a server target, enter it in Target (MB) and review Route to the target. Open a garment from the list to inspect its texture sizes and geometry before applying any proposal.

Apply changes in a batch

Choose Optimize several to select garments from the proposed route. Untick any item you want to leave unchanged, preview the chosen settings, and press Check. Read each row’s result; press Apply only after the check completes for that same selection. Undo reverses the batch together.

Keep the source available

Save the editable project before export and compare the ZIP’s contents after downloading it. Optimization previews do not test how an asset behaves in your own FiveM server.

Texture and history limits

Painted layers keep textures and maps at their current size; geometry can still be reduced. BC7 can be trimmed to existing mip levels or converted to a writable format. Export converts BC7 to an uncompressed writable format. The editor keeps 25 undo steps, not 2,000; save an editable project and a source copy before long editing sessions.
