Pedify guide
Install an exported ped as a FiveM resource
Export a resource ZIP, place its folder under your server’s resources directory, and test the model on a private server before using it with players.
Choose the export type
- In the editor, choose Export.
- Select FiveM resource for a complete resource folder, or Stream files only when adding the files to an existing resource.
- For a resource export, select the appropriate Male or Female setting shown in the dialog.
- Choose Download ZIP and extract it into a new folder. Keep the ZIP as an untouched copy.
Add the resource folder
Place the extracted folder directly under resources or a category folder such as [peds]. Use its exact folder name in server.cfg, for example ensure my_ped. Do not run a second resource containing the same ped at the same time.
Update an existing resource
For Stream files only, back up the resource first, then copy the exported files into its stream folder and replace files with matching names. Keep the existing fxmanifest.lua and peds.meta.
Test the installation
Start or fully restart a private test server, check its console for resource errors, connect, and spawn the model name shown by the export. If the model is missing, verify the folder path and ensure name. If a garment looks wrong, reopen the project and review its validation messages before replacing files on a live server.
Can I use what I make in Pedify on my server?
Yes. You may use what you export from Pedify on your FiveM server. You are responsible for having the right to use the files you upload, such as models you bought or received from others.

Large texture dictionaries
Pedify does not split a YTD at 256 MiB. If its padded texture data would exceed that limit, export halves the largest textures until the dictionary fits. Review the exported texture sizes.
