Pedify guide
Add clothing files to a ped
The Add clothing panel imports local models and textures. Check the detected category and variants before adding anything to the project.
Try it on
Choose a wardrobe garment to see it on your ped with one click, or bring your own files or your own GTA V. Export costs the same for equivalent garments. Wardrobe terms.
Import a garment
- Open Add clothing and select the Files or ZIP tab.
- Choose Choose clothing files, Choose a ZIP, or Choose folder. You can also drop files or a folder into the panel.
- Select the garment’s
.yddmodel and matching.ytdtexture files. Folder import checks subfolders and lists unsupported or unrecognised files separately.
Check categories and textures
Read the detected Category before adding the item. If the model is listed without its texture, choose Choose folder on that row and select the folder containing the missing .ytd. When the selection contains several garments, inspect the rows first, then use Add all only if every detected item belongs in the project.
Add texture variants
A selection with textures but no model can be listed as variants. Check the suggested Garment, choose the intended target if it is wrong, and use the row’s Add to … action. Texture variants are made for a particular model; check them on that garment before keeping them.
Import from another ped
Open From another ped, choose Choose the ped’s files, then select the source ped’s file set. Select a garment to preview it on your ped, confirm its destination under Category, and choose the matching Add … action. A source model made for another skeleton may need your ped’s .yft; read the importer’s note before choosing any offered “add anyway” option.
Previewing a source item does not add it. Use the panel’s Close source or Cancel controls when you finish reviewing.
Review what was added
Open the added-garments list in the editor’s top bar. Use Show to select an item and Remove to take it back out of the project. Undo restores the last change. Keep the source files unchanged until the added model and textures look right on the ped.
