Use a ped menu with an exported model

A ped menu selects a model the server has already made available. It does not install the model, fix its name, or convert files between game editions.

Confirm the resource first

Start the exported resource and check for load errors. Record the model name from the export summary. A menu may use a configured whitelist or category; a successful server start does not automatically add the model to every menu.

vMenu example

In vMenu, the server owner can enable the relevant player appearance/add-on ped permission and, if configured, allow the model name through the ped whitelist. The vMenu permissions reference documents vMenu.PlayerAppearance.AddonPeds; its model whitelist guide describes ped spawn names. Labels and config can change by version; follow the docs for the version installed on your server.

Other menus and appearance resources

For another menu, look for its documented custom/add-on ped setting or a server command that requests a model by name. Add the export spawn name to that menu’s list only if its own documentation requires it. Do not assume a clothing editor can spawn arbitrary add-on models; many only change components on the current ped.

Check server access

Menu permissions are server policy. Ask an administrator for only the intended permission, then test with a regular player account as well as an administrator. If the menu says the model is blocked, investigate its allowlist/permission before changing ped files.

Keep the conclusion precise

Seeing a name in a menu proves only that the menu can list it. Spawn the model and inspect its head, clothing, textures and movement in game. A menu preview may be absent even while manual spawning works; a menu entry can also remain after the resource stops.
